Register now for the Ben Marcus Memorial Variety Golf Classic! Download the brochure at http://varietywi.org/images/stories/PDFs/Events/marcusgolf08.pdf We are excited to be celebrating the thirty-first anniversary of this popular event on Monday, July 14th, at the beautiful Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva. Our goal is to net over $100,000 with a commitment to support our Wisconsin Mobility Program—Kids On The Go. Every year we’ve surpassed our fundraising goals, in large part due to your continued support and generosity. In 2008, we have already gifted $29,891 in mobility equipment for Wisconsin children. Won’t you come out to golf at one of the best events of the summer to help us in our work? According to Dave Hallenbeck, Director of Golf at Grand Geneva Resorts, “For over 30 years I have had the privilege to be involved with hundreds of charitable events, but none have offered a better value or guest experience than the Ben Marcus Variety Children’s Charity Golf Classic.” We hope that we can count on your participation and support again this year. Enclosed you will find a brochure that details the event. Additionally, we’ve enclosed a list of sponsorship opportunities. Let us treat you to some great golf, sponsor perks and a good time. We look forward to seeing you on July 14th at Grand Geneva for a fun-filled day. If you have any questions, or would like to pay with a credit card, please give me a call at (414) 266-3812. |

Variety – The Children’s Charity launched the Gold Heart Pin in Great Britain in 1991 and has since raised more than $100 million to help children around the world challenged by poverty, violence, neglect, and physical disability. This unique fundraising program centers around the sale of a $2 Gold Heart Pin, the international symbol of love, hope, and Variety – The Children’s Charity. Nationwide over 1,800 retail locations and 6,400 theatre screens participate in this exciting fundraising campaign. Each year the collectible pin has a new design and slogan, but the symbol remains the same – as does our motto; “Wear your heart on your sleeve to show you care for kids.” |
